Come Over! Adriene and I are holding a special screening of the 5th Element in SD, CA

Adriene and I thought of this when she found out that her good friend, Dr. Ben Janzen, who holds a doctrate in literature and religious studies has written on The Fifth Element as a Iconographic Exploration of Egyptian Mythology!  He's from Germany, but lives down the street from us right now - so both of us thought we HAVE to have him give a talk and what a perfect excuse to dress up like one of the characters!  So immediately Adriene spent many hours working on this beautiful poster for our party. 

Dr. Ben Janzen has a Vox blog - he hasn't posted since since october - but maybe this screening will show him how many fans he has around the world.  Here is his website  - he calls himself the SCIFI doctors!!!  And here's the link to the little preview of what he's written about The Fifth Element.  AND if you are a sci-fi freak - then check out his other writings.  One of his dissertation papers for one of his degrees was about Star Trek!

So bring your kids, dogs, and friends - just as long as they can appreciate The Fifth Element then they are welcome!  You have 2 weeks to decide which character you will come dressed up as.  We'll provide wine and popcorn. 
And we'll have a projector set up (thank you adriene!) so get ready to relive the best pop-fi movie every made.

And tell me if this it too crazy - I figure if we have enough people there and all dressed up we could all recreate the hotel scene when the bomb is about to go off?  Our place is big enough for that - doesn't that sound like fun!
